Skin graft update: did have a bleed through last night from the donor site. The nurses did a great job of reinforcing the dressing. He is on complete bedrest for 2 days to get the grafting to adhere a little before he goes home and even then he will be much more restricted on activity. We sure appreciate all who have been praying.

Did they ever determine what kicked this whole thing off? I know they were going to start a culture at the time of the first surgery, but I never heard if anything came of it.
The testing done was inconclusive. I was receiving so much broad-spectrum antibiotic that they said the samples were likely so affected by it that they would not grow. We will never know for sure, but the only thing that seems to have been able to ‘creep into’ my sphere of contact during the day before illness would have been a spider in the old car I was working on from western NE. So, as uninteresting and insignificant as it sounds, will probably have to be the story that I go with on this!
