Bruce was admitted to St. Elizabeth’s on Thursday, August 14th, with an apparent issue of some kind with the back of his thigh/quads – perhaps a spider bite, perhaps something else.  We never found out what the cause was.  He had surgery on the evening of Sunday, August 17th, which was hoped to be successful in removing the problematic area.  On Wednesday, August 20th, he had a followup surgery and more tissue was removed.  On Friday, August 22nd, he had another surgery where a mesh was applied to the wound and healing could begin.  On Sunday, August 24th, Bruce came home!
